You need either a 3.5mm jack to 2 x 6.3mm jack cable or a 3.5mm jack to 2 x RCA phono plugs and then a couple of RCA/phono plug to 6.3mm jack adapters.

Congratulations on the offer from Cambridge, Jake! As a Sixth Form student myself, I've decided against going to University and go on to something practical - apprenticeship. Another 3-5 years of studying wouldn't go down with me.

I'm guessing the sound card has a 1/8" jack output so you'll need a 1/8" jack to RCA cable (the red and black/white plugs) and then two RCA to 1/4" Jack adapters to go into the mixer. It probably won't matter too much whether you choose Main Mix or Control Room.

Hey! I got a question for you. I just bought one Xenyx 1002 mixer, and i was wondering about something since i'm new in the dj world... I have a mac, a Mixtrack (turntables) which i connect with usb in my mac, a audio 2 dj soundcard which connect with usb too and now this mixer because i wanted to be able to play my mixes on big speakers.

Now, I need to connect my external soundcard to my computer and it also needs to go to the Xenyx 1002 mixer because thats where the speakers are plugged in. So, what cables do I need in order to plug the channel A of my soundcard in the mixer, and where do I plug those cables? Also, do I plug my speakers in "Main mix" or "Control room out"?

This is a pretty nice computer Jake. My coworker has a pretty similar one but he did not get it with 6GB of ram he got it with 4. He got his refurbished gaming computer for a little cheaper then on Dell website.

There are so many of these USBs out there that i find it difficult to choose from. Also when you mobiles with huge memory, crisp display and nice sound quality, these USBs look far less attractive.
